    failed smog. check it out!

Well, member Amstaff has valid points. If you're burning oil you should fix that. It doesn't take much HC to overwhelm the oxidizing bed on a tired cat. Normally I wouldn't suggest a new one but your engine is running clean enough that if isn't burning too much oil a new cat will pass it. It's...

    failed smog. check it out!

Yea, you're going to get 51 when the TPS is off idle and you need to be off idle to check cross counting. You don't need to be in diag mod though. O2 is good. So is CO2. Check the ignition and PCV systems but as stated there are other causes of high HC and some are not easy to repair. Your...

    Fuel cut? Misfire?

I was joking. Even though I never had it bad CPS wiring is rampant on these cars. Try wiggling it near the CPS.

Sounds like it. Or the wiring is bad. But that never happens :)

    Warning lights

Shorthand? The only shorthand I see is your use of your. No, the lights won't work if the box isn't in the circuit. How do you think it monitors them?

    failed smog. check it out!

G2P contains polyether amine. Think Chevron Techcron. The only thing it's guaranteed to do is clean the fuel system and even then not much with a single dose. It does a good job cleaning wallets though. You didn't post the O2 but from the CO it's not rich by much if any. EGR is working. The...

Need help with my vacuum setup! (EGR, VSV)

Remove the 80 mm one and cap it there. You don't need that VSV. The other VSV is not for the EGR.

    O2 sensor, universal?

^ This. The one wire will work but since it's not heated the engine will take longer to enter closed loop and may fall out of it during prolonged idling. A three wire is better, a four best.

    Bad Turbo ??????????????

A bad turbo could cause rod knock through a loss of oil but that'd be unusual. Your problem sounds more self inflicted.

It would take less time to check the turbo than it would to answer the question.

Well done. Are you aware AC idle up is also done with timing?

timing doesn't change when shorting pins at test port

^ This and what hvyman said. I'll say it (again) too: never attempt timing without first verifying 1) the MIL is flashing and 2) it's not flashing code 51.

Only 3.5 Volts on full open Throttle

They probably got that from the TSRM which is incorrect. They all output appx 3.5 volts. That's why the resistance you measured is in spec. It's that Ohm's Law thing in action. Cy, that new avatar is just foul...
