    Thermostat ?????

You know, I think it does...seems I saw it at the dealer last time I was there. When I used it previously, I always bought the 100% stuff and mixed my own (distilled water).

Swapped in a rebuilt motor - low oil pressure

So it was the oil filter housing cooler valve...I thought so ;) Now that you have pressure...you might want to consider getting rid of the stock filter housing and switching to a full flow, thermostat controlled cooling circuit like I mentioned earlier. Much better way of keeping your oil...

Fuel pump upgrade & wiring 12v

Just a thought ;) You should be able to do it...it would remove the EFI fuse from loop and solve any voltage drop issues. And, you keep the resistor for low FP ops.

Need advice on oil change, please.

LOL...you're welcome. If you like the Red Line 10W-30, give the 5W-30 a go. It's a little thicker at ops temp and better cold flow...your rev happy 1j should like it a lot ;) One other thing you 1J guys might want to consider is dumping the oil-to-water cooler and installing a full...

Fuel pump upgrade & wiring 12v

Why not keep it a bit more simple: - Run a dedicated 12V, 10GA wire (fused) to power the the circuit opening relay - 10GA wire from circuit opening relay to FP relay - Replace FP relay with 30 Amp Bosch 2 position relay - 10GA wire from FP relay to FP - 10GA wire from FP relay to resistor...

Alabama to hit Obese Workers with 'Fat Fee'

You just hit what I was thinking about this...wanted to let it go for a bit 1st ;) It kind of paves the way for more draconian measures in the future...all the way up to a requirement for DNA testing to determine if you have "at risk" factors in your genes. All in the name of "fairness" to...

    lean out at 2600-2700

Ok...it's great you bought the AFPR at HP Freaks...now, what kind is it? I didn't ask if the SAFC worked...I asked to see if the problem was still there if it was removed from the loop. You didn't answer the "After increasing fuel pressure, did the lean condition last ~3 sec as before at...

Fuel pump upgrade & wiring 12v

Pretty sure the stock wires are a 12GA. This should be able to handle an upgraded pump, but is right at the limit. Note that you get a 5.72% voltage drop (10' run) with 12GA vs a 3.59% drop with 10GA.

Fuel pump upgrade & wiring 12v

Generally you want to size according to the circuit: Gauge - Amps 14 - 15 12 - 20 10 - 30 8 - 40 6 - 65 Longer runs (> 100') or when the wire in a closed place where it can't dissipate heat well, you want to go up a size. Here's a handy chart/calculator...you'll need to know the...

Alabama to hit Obese Workers with 'Fat Fee'

Facime - it already applies to smokers ;) They would have to pick *some* standard...BMI is as good as any. Concerning those individuals who are large due to genetics or athletic, the state would be forced to accept a doctors advice or a body fat measurement on an individual basis...

Alabama to hit Obese Workers with 'Fat Fee'

By The Associated Press The state of Alabama has given its 37,527 employees until 2010 to start getting fit -- or they'll pay $25 a month for insurance that otherwise is free. Alabama will be the first state to charge its overweight workers who don't try to slim down, while a handful of...

    Thermostat ?????

Don't know about that coolant...if you're seeing a line of residue where the coolant level normally sits cold in the overflow bottle, the Water Wetter is suspect. Pull the bottle cap and feel the tube that sits in the coolant. If you get a residue on your fingers and it feels "slimy", I'd do a...

    Thermostat ?????

A heads up - Redline Water Wetter can react with certain coolant chemistry and cause a kind of "slime" to form. I did on mine using Toyota Red coolant. It is mostly for use with straight water on a track car.

    running lean

Get a real Aeromotive AFPR...you will also need to drill out the "J" tube on the fuel line return. If you like your motor, do not boost with that AFR.
