anyone using LED bulbs in their tail lights?

I changed my rear turn signals in my 91 to LEDs. I cut a board to fit in the space, took out the old bulb and reflector, and put the board in with a whole bunch of LEDs. I wired up orange, and red LEDs into the board. The orange are for the signals, and the red are for the brake lights. That...

what do u think of my gt35r dyno

You can really tell you're on stock cams :) Get those swapped out, and add another 1000rpm to your powerband.

    GT4082 good for streetable 450-500hp?

That's good to know 92sc3001JZ, I do happen to have cams and fuel management. I too would like to know what the spool is like. What manifold would you recommend for the GT35R?

    GT4082 good for streetable 450-500hp?

Are you sure? It seemed to me that the 4082 was actually smaller then the 35R Edit: Seems like the time is screwed up on the forums. This post was posted AFTER the one below it.

    GT4082 good for streetable 450-500hp?

I've been doing some research, trying to narrow down a good turbo that will get me around 500hp on 94 octane. I hear a lot about GT35s, but I did some research into the GT4082, and it looks promising. Has anyone run these on a 1JZ? Judging by the flow maps, 500hp may be pushing it, but as long...

My 1JZ Thread - trials and Tribulations

I went to RCTS here in Calgary (one of the few HKS dealers in Canada). http://www.monsterhorsepower.com/ Not sure if they sell Defi stuff. What are you looking for? If you're looking for gauges, I would consider the HKS gauges. I was looking for Defi gauges, but they showed me their HKS...

It HAD to be a Honda! Oh, my baby!

Should have showed her licence plate :) That really sucks. I absolutely hate people that can't drive, and end up putting you in danger.

I just unbolted the top two bolts with a wrench from above. Wasn't that hard, just time consuming.

My 1JZ Thread - trials and Tribulations

On my JZA70, that thing was a check valve, and broke about a week after I got the car. I replaced it with another check valve from Canadian Tire. As for the oil filter, Toyota used the same filter for all supras from about 85 onward. I know this because I just went to the dealer to pick up a...

at what point do you not trust the stock tach anymore?

My tach is a little slow to react if you rev it too fast. I initially thought that my rev limiter was incorrectly set at 7000. It turned out that it was really revving up to 7500.

    Rim/tire question

No problem. But the problem shouldn't be your fenders themselves, if the wheel is going to rub, it will probably rub the edge of the tire against the inside of the wheel well at full lock (or close to)

    Rim/tire question

Ok, basing measurements off of my MKIV TT rims on my MKIII, which have about 1/4" clearance between the 285 tire, and spring: Your rears will JUST fit. They MAY rub if your suspension was completely extended, but that's not an issue when driving. Your fronts however, will probably rub...

    hydro clutch fan

Dude, I wasn't arguing anything, I asked a freaking question. But, I'm not quite understanding this whole electrical concept you're trying to explain here. It would seem to me, that if you had nothing hooked up to an alternator, you would have an infinite resistance across the coils. You...

    Damn Speakers

trace the outline for the hole you need cut, drill a pilot hole, stick the jigsaw into that hole, and cut the outline. to johnathan1: Yes, the smaller grill will muffle it somewhat, but it will sound a lot better then it did before. You could also try to find some 91+ grills (and metal...

Body work started on the car to fit new wheels!!

I would agree with the comment that you want to widen the car that much, it better be to stick some HUGE tires into it. :) I think that a -25mm offset is just silly. With a 12" wide wheel on the MKIII, a 0 offset would allow the tire to fit right back in against the suspension (or, -5mm at...

    hydro clutch fan

Wouldn't the extra amperage draw on the alternator take just as much horsepower as the extra hydro pump? I would actually assume that the hydro pump would be more efficient then converting mechanical -> electrical - > mechanical energy.
