What's the worst car you've ever owned?

How is that your WORST car? Reminds me of my Cavalier. Wasn't a good car by any means, but the thing was DAMNED tough. I never did manage to kill it, despite my best rally efforts.

Winter's coming, where can I learn to tame my supra?

392? Definitely ironic... about the same here though. The local DMV would be a great place to learn around here but it's also the county's local Highway Department station, so... that's usually a no-go. About the same here as well. If you're being (relatively) safe about what you're doing...

Updated PICs of my post Supra BEAST

Give the NT05's a shot if they make them big enough. I know you can get a 315 in the 17", but never bothered looking into bigger tires than 17", so I'm not sure what they have. All I know is they stick GREAT for the money, every bit as good as the DR's that I was running before, as long as the...

MKlll vs 1976 Porsche 911 turbo?

Really? I can't see even a well driven 911 turbo from that era giving me much trouble in a drag race... Definitely not hefty though, not sure what they were comparing that to. I mean, from that era, you're looking at the C3 Corvette at a mid-3000lb curb weight, and the Datsun Z's for...

Rodel is a great source for getting business done through Shine, you could almost say he's a local representative for the Mk3 community. :)

    Ethical Dilemma - Painting a MKIII 3E5 VS 202

Stupid sunlight... gives us cancer, fades paint, makes interiors of cars hot on already hot days... Then again it'd be hard to live in the dark as a species too, so... it's a trade off. Frankly, I'm impressed by how long the pain on my 88 lasted. With the exception of the bumpers, the paint was...

I went ahead and did it....

They're definitely an improvement over the early 2000's redesign, I'll say that much. Sexy cars, but I sure as hell wouldn't sell a Supra because of one if it were realistic to keep it.

    Hp and MPG?

All depends on how you drive really. Mostly highway, yes that's pretty crappy mileage. If it's mostly low speed, in town stop and go kind of driving, it's not horrible. Not great, but not horrible either.

    Clear indicators. Yay or nay?

Hey, can't let the ricers have ALL the good ideas now can we? Just messing with ya man. :p Personally, I gotta say the pre-89 stockers look best. Ever seen one coming your way with just the running lights on in low light? Things just look menacing they're so wide... Not saying they look bad...

What's the worst car you've ever owned?

I can see where Olds went wrong though, I mean, when you have "Old" in the title of your company, it's kinda hard to convince the youth to buy. :p If we're talking about cars that needed the most maintenance that I've owned... I gotta say, the Mk3 is up there, much as I love them. :)

car break in around long island ny.

Sorry to hear of the misfortune, but why are such valuables kept in their cars? I mean, aside from the sound system, why would most of those things be left in a car? And if a sound system is in the car, shouldn't it be somehow concealed? After all, if there's nothing visible to steal, why would...

Updated PICs of my post Supra BEAST

They make cell phones and friends for if you get a flat. :) How in the world are you traction limited with 345 Nittos (what sort by the way, I've run 555, 555R, and now NT05, LOVE the NT05...)? Still have over 100mm of sidewall there... suspension really stiff? I realize the LS gives lots of...

    Cold start High idle

I've heard of the ISCV causing some strange issues, but they tend to cause low idle symptoms. Things I would check include the TPS, the ISCV, the mechanical adjustments on the throttle body, and possibly the timing. How does it run otherwise?

    Clear indicators. Yay or nay?

You just don't like changing anything that Toyota put on these cars. :p They do look out of place on a dark car though, looks strange next to the orange side markers...

    Going for big hp!!!

Realistically speaking, what would it take? Approximately 10-15k to build a RELIABLE 7m that powerful, all related and needed parts/machining included? Edit: Nice quote by the way. You can get all that on Ebay, right?

    Regulus Rear Lip and Spoiler

I have one of the few rear wings that are known in the states. I was told it was 1 of either 9 or 10 that are known to be in NA. Pretty cool piece, been sitting on it for about a year now, haven't gotten around to installing it since I'm still collecting parts for the widebody conversion...

MKlll vs 1976 Porsche 911 turbo?

Widebody? Or had that trend not started yet with the 911? Either way, cool cars, always did have a soft spot for classic crazy. Challenging to drive is one way to put it. As Clarkson on Top Gear says, "they named it 911 so the Americans would know what number to call when their car unexpectedly...
