Anyone know the NHTSA CRASH TEST RATING?

Don't wish that evil on me man... I have my reasons, but children aren't for me. Hence the collection of 2 seaters for me. :)

Does anyone know what this "SUPRA" Bag is???

I would have thought a targa cover for when you put it in the back of the car, but the car cover makes more sense, given how tight the fit of the targa in it's cargo hold brackets is...

Odd Question time - RE: 7MGE on Engine Stand

Good idea! I wouldn't have thought of that until I had to clean out the debris...

Helluva a way to start off the morning...

Looks like my old car... I'd take this piece of advice as well, especially for an automatic. Save up some cash in the meantime, and WAIT until you find a well sorted, clean car that you wanna pounce on. Unless you need something to get you around, in which case get what you can get I guess...

So how long till someone stuffs one of these on a supra?

Honda did as well with their 2.0 v6 turbo that was on the JDM Legend... VERY low sales numbers, and wasn't exported to my knowledge. So, there any videos that show this application in use? Kinda like a Bill Nye video of some sort?

General questions for a general thread

I forget who makes a hub that fits the Nardi, but they are a company that makes steering wheels and hubs, relatively new, NRG perhaps? I looked into that a while back, you might try them.

    what turbo are you running?

Can't go wrong with a smallish ball bearing billet turbo, Comp has some nice setups. If you're only going to need that much power though, I would suggest looking into Albert's CT modifications. ;)

    Hole for fuel pump

Well, you'll need a pretty big hole to put two fuel pumps in, and from experience, the floor is pretty thick. Might suggest a torch... but do realize that you'd be a fool to try cutting a hole above the tank without dropping it first, right?

    Use of amorall!

Aww man, that sounds like a headache and a half to me... now that you mention cracked paint on the bumper though, makes me wonder if someone backed into the Mk2 at some point, it has a nice little spot where it's all spider-ed on the top of the bumper. Any chance of being more selective where...

Not sure Where to post this 85 monte carlo 7m powered?

If not about the same... Comfy too! Seriously though, most of the fastest G-bodies I've seen were powered by 6 cylinder engines. Granted, not inline 6's, but still pretty cool. Kinda weird too, reminds me of that C4 Corvette in Kuwait with a 2j swap. Engine bay long enough for an inline 6...

    Gran Turismo 5, anyone?

I still play on occasion. Only things I have left are... 3 extreme series B-spec races, the entire Enduro class of b-spec races, and 4 or 5 more a-spec enduro races. Allow me to say that 4 of 5 hours in the same rather uncomfortable chair behind the wheel in that game makes you sore. :nono: Not...

    Happy birthday, Reign_Maker!

Ahh, this must be "that" year. My dad has been 29 for, oh... about 15, 16 years now? About as long as I can remember? Shit, I guess he's creeping up on 50 already. Funny when you get mistaken for brothers haha... Oh, and if you want any loot, you'd have to stop by in person. I don't light...

So how long till someone stuffs one of these on a supra?

Are you referring to the vanes on the turbine itself? Those always seemed rather flimsy to me...

    Did some pulles today finally.

For the whole car, no kidding? That doesn't seem too bad... if you've got that Kaminari spoiler, it seems to be worth a fair bit on it's own. ;) As for traction, you don't have much sidewall, but I'm a bit puzzled why you're having traction problems unless your boost is coming on unusually hard...

    Noob spring question

Another thing to consider, how safe do you feel using something that is pretty much a hack of a fix? Clamping your springs down like that would play absolute hell on the shocks wouldn't it? I would think the car would float like a Buick if the springs weren't matched reasonably well...

    What coilovers fit the a70

Didn't realize the Megan EZ coils were that much cheaper. Seems the track version have dropped in price as well since I got my car. They're a nice setup overall, I can't complain about mine a bit, and I've been using my car daily for over 2 years now with the track suspension.

Odd Question time - RE: 7MGE on Engine Stand

Would be a good idea, for safety's sake, to have the hoist as a potential "catch" point in case something does go awry on you. Just use a sling under the engine as you're flipping it, particularly if you're alone. I had a similar nervous feeling when trying to remove the crank pulley off the...

    Front camber question

Front tires will naturally generate negative camber, when you lower a car. That is usually how that works after all... Like Nick suggested, take it to a good alignment shop, have it checked out. Be prepared for some headaches as well, it's not uncommon for adjustment bolts, particularly in the...

Helluva a way to start off the morning...

This is what I would suggest. I don't think you've posted up details on the overall condition of the car, pre-incident, that would give us a better idea on whether that is a fair price on the car or not. Personally if I were in your shoes with my car and someone tried to offer me that much, I...

    Coolant, Intake Side

I've heard of the ISC leaking a bit, but it has been so long since I worked on a 7m, I can't say for certain. So much seemingly random plumbing on them, could be that, or something else. If you're not *needing* to drive it, why not start a partial teardown until you find the culprit? :)
