    Pin outs? help?!?

Tristen, these are not the forums you're looking for... *waves hand* celicasupra.com Those guys should have the info you seek. ;)

No heat with a 180% thermostat in

^Another thing to check out that happened to me a couple years ago was that we didn't put the hoses going into the firewall onto the nipples of the heater core far enough. End result? Coolant continually dripped onto the carpet on the driver side of the interior firewall. Not only did I have...

    Cipher Auto Seats

Thanks for suggesting a few to check out Steven! :D I'm looking forward to sitting in an NSX sometime in the next few years, those seats look pretty awesome as far as comfort and support go. Not positive they would fit though.

My new style gauge cluster with all new LED lights and some custom stuff also!

Man, talk about sensory overload! Looks great man. Am I mistaken, or are there 2 different "dummy lights" for the oil? Or is one pressure, the other level? That would make sense...

    Gran Turismo 5, anyone?

I don't know about you, but by the end of that Roadster race, I was trying to see how quick I could roast a set of rear tires... the NC drifts pretty well once you get it figured out. ;) Oh, and just to throw it out there, if anyone is looking for a particular car, PM me or just post up in this...

    Noob Question on Retarding Timing

For now, if all you're wanting is around 320-350, port the head nicely, put in those cams (BC264's here, so far so good), and change out the y-pipe. Other than those 3 things, my car is 100% stock (well, 3" exhaust, but I'm pretty sure all these cars have that by now), and I put down 320rwhp on...

    oem 1jz pistons

I always thought that they were the same piston... then again, the valve sizes are different too, so the reliefs might be different as well. Thanks for enlightening me. :) Could always pony up for some JUN pistons... and while you're at it, there is a set of Carillo rods for the 1j on here...

    redline rear diff weight?

Ahh, I believe you are right, thanks for correcting me. :) You forgot the vegetable oil in the driver... :p

    Cipher Auto Seats

Well, between harnesses vs seat belts, and a proper bar/cage setup, I think you'd still come out ahead in the long run, if only by the weight of a spare tire... Could always get one of the rare non-power driver seats, they're not very common here in the US, but they're not impossible to find...

    My Regrets

Hey, you know the saying about cars like these... "if it's not broke, YOU are."

    Option opinions...

I would just wait it out if your car is running fine at the moment. I've been on stock twins for over two years now, trust me... I know the feeling of wanting to upgrade. In the long run though, doing it right the first time is still the best idea, but it does take patience. :)

    fuel pump question

Your fuel pressure will still be regulated via the stock FPR, so I would think the pump wouldn't hurt anything if you upgraded. Just remember, fuel is one of the few parts that going cheap on can bite you in the long run. ;)

How about a Hobbs switch for second fuel pump

Vaguely, I'm not very experienced or knowledgeable about wiring. My thought about the in-line pump was that it might alleviate some of the heat/noise from the gas in the tank, hopefully that makes sense?

    Hole for fuel pump

^Cool thing about that setup, if you're careful cutting out the panel, you can re-use it as an access door and it should fit about perfectly. Just be sure it's sealed up right, nobody likes errant fumes in the cabin. ;)

General questions for a general thread

Certainly nothing wrong with being picky... it's a lot cheaper than doing the same upgrades twice. ;)

Who wants to move to Australia?

Better than living in snow 9-10 months a year though, isn't it?

    Gran Turismo 5, anyone?

My phone is a "dumb" phone, so I wouldn't be doing that haha... as for the FR-S/86, that is EXACTLY what it is. Smart, isn't it? I tossed it around a bit, the thing has to be thrown around a bit to have much fun, but if this thing handles as well as it does in real life, they're going to sell...

Any body know anything about a 83 BMW 745 turbo

Gray market is where cars that weren't intended for a particular area end up there anyway. See pretty much any cool JDM car the Canadians get, cars like what you posted, late 90's Elise here in the USA, etc... Major pain in most places, but cool in the end if all works out. ;)

    Use of amorall!

I don't remember where exactly we were in the city, but I think it might have been Brooklyn. We were there for a concert at BAM Howard Gillman Opera House... Was alright I suppose, but the hell with parking there. Can't have nice things some places... And yes, we do have plenty of room here...

    oem 1jz pistons

Mentioned in the other thread, but 5m and 6m share pistons, do the 1j and 2j? I would think so... Same bore, same valve count, I wouldn't be surprised if they're interchangeable. There should be a chart of parts that work between the engines on here somewhere...
