You really can't use the NA stud on a turbo motor...the IC pipes are in the way to accommodate a filter.
Could be the circuit or the sensor...TSRM test for the sensor here:

You can do a more precise test off the car in a pot of hot water and a thermometer.
Did you replace the intake manifold gasket...there is a seal on it for the coolant fitting leading to the ISCV/TB between the lower intake and the head. It's right in the area you show.

Don't like them on a 7M...the Toyota plugs are steel and seal with a press fit. They have to be tight. I've seen way too many plugs blow due to improper installation and they were all aftermarket plugs.
Sure there is...put the gears on and line up the index marks ;)
