I hope you dont feel that way when I show up at tx next year with one on my car. I am making my steel hood look like that, only the vents further back and the cowl raised 2 inches.
So, how is the dyno queen duane. Those are the only numbers that we have seen so far...
:biglaugh:
Honestly, if you run a 12, I will piss myself laughing with all the talking going on in this thread.
In my oppinion, you should use a Holset HX35 off of a cummins motor. I know of someone who may be willing to part with the turbo, manifold, DP and a 50mm knock off HKS wastegate for the right price (probably about what you are going to spend on a turbo alone, or less).
Doesn't the dark side always get its ass kicked?:sarcasm:
Gratz gixxer, now you have NO excuse to run better times than you did in tx. AEM + 272 cams + 2jz-ge(t) with that 72mm you have kicking around and you should be in great shape.
Im probably closer to 280 right now, but should be in the mid 300s in a month or 2.
I don't know why my car is in discussion, I'm not bringing my car to vegas, or going myself. I just want to see vids of your cars working and running fast times, not spinning down the track or running 12s.
Then you have fun sir. I am comfortable with under 500whp for now, but if I feel the need to run fast times at the track there will be a chevy auto going in.
Fixed.
BTW duane, it is smarter and cheaper to get an auto car to go faster in the 1320. Built auto + good stall + lots of power + stickey tires = fast times. Its kind of sad that your 800rwhp beast won't get better times than a tiny t61 car with an afc and vpc combo.:biglaugh::sarcasm:
The red MKIV is a 2,000+hp monster that shatters windows on launch @ 7psi. Belongs to a SF member Phillysingle. Guess that happens when you throw a 377 CID Brodix block and head, a 104mm turbo, a glide and a ford 9" in a MKIV.
Add the driver (around 175lbs) the difference in weight between the l24 and the 2jz-gte, the difference in weight of the v160 vs the stock 4 speed manual, the weight of the oil and coolant and 16gal of gas at 8lbs per gal.
That is exactly my point. Unless you go with a custom gear box, the...
You can route the harness through the firewall, underneath the dash. That cleans up the enginebay quite well (along with hiding the fragile wires from a high heat situation)
