also.. when you open the door.. is there any lights? light the light on the dash that shows the door open?
you should see theres a notch on the gear that you are sopposed to line up with another notch.. line those two up and insert the cps.. try your best to push it in as straight as possible so it only turns how much it needs to turn.. did you skim through the threads? and look at the tsrm...
update: head gasket came in.. nicely packed between two planks of plywood as to not damage it :)
still waiting on bottom end parts. so basically projects at a slow-standstill.
im cleaning parts here and there. sanding and painting valve covers, etc
are you talking about the shims and buckets?
if you are... you are gonna have to use a feeler gauge and re-measure the shims.. probably have to order new ones to get everything to spec. there's a guide on here on how to do it and also its in the tsrm.
buckets..i guess just try to put them...

check vac lines, fuel lines, etc.. (im sure you did though)
you need to make sure your cams are both at tdc when the crank is at tdc (cams should be pointing straight up.. aligned with the marks)
double check to see if the #1 piston is at tdc when the crank is at tdc.. now everything is at...
if you cant get ur hands on another crank pulley in a reasonable amount of time. you could remove #1 spark plug and put and extension in there (so that you can see it sticking out.. dont lose it in there!! lol) and then turn the crank to see it rising to its highest position.. that will be tdc...
there's no way you can diy? $2200 is a little much imo

head gasket stock is around $100
arp studs $125
all aproximate prices
puts you around $600
the rest is you paying for labour

isnt it a manual boost controller?
if it is.. there is no wiring.. just splice into the waste gate vaccuum line..
and if it is electric.. its generally the same.. boost selenoid splices into wg vaccuum line and you run the wires to your unit.. im guessing you have to ground it somewhere and tap...
