had the car stored over the winter and never started it so battery dead.. went out to buy a new battery from autozone and somehow the guy there gave me the wrong battery.. he gave me a battery for the na model.. was told terminals were different for turbo n na model.. correct me if i am wrong.. turbo models, the positive is on the left n the negative on the right.. n na model, the other way around.. not thinking twice, install battery n SPARKS.. checked all fuses n only one blown 7.5 fuse inside car.. replace the fuse n went back to autozone n bought the right battery.. install battery, turn key to on position n the only things that lights up r my airflow, boost, n oil guages, and headlights.. try to start car n nothing.. usually some lights come on inside the guage cluster, but nothing.. COULD THAT HAVE TRIGGER SOMETHING ELSE? ECU? DON'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT SUPRA YET SO ANY SUGGESTION IS MUCH APPRECIATE.. MY CAR IS A 90 SUPRA TURBO MODEL WITH THE 7MGTE.. THANKS!

You prolly blew another fuse.

Batteries are the same and the posts are on the same side. The ground is always closer to the body than the pos, meaning the pos side is always facing the engine.

The batteries are in the same spot n/a or not.

The guy at auto zone was a moron.

Even if it was a wrong battery you should always look at the battery for the markings that say + or -.

check the fusable link (if you have one)

What he said. Check the 'big' fuses in the engine compartment, including the fusible link- the black looped-looking wire. Make sure it's not melted, or crispy.
