if the timing is messed up. your valves shouldnt hit the pistons as the 7m is a non-interference engine. it just wont start. or it'll run like ass if it does.. but most likely it wont start if the timing is off.

did you take the cam gears off? if so did you make sure that you aligned the pin to the right hole on the gear? i didnt even look at the cam lobe. i just made sure the pin was in the right hold on the gear and made sure the crank was at tdc and that the gears both pointed to 12 o'clock position

ok so i tried a 14mm and its the exact same outside diameter as the 9/16 so i'll be returning that.. i think i'll just grinddown the 9/16 socket so that it fits.. it'll be my custom arp head stud socket. now the only problem of finding someone with a bench grinder i can borrow haha\ after this...

soo hard to find this damn socket in this stupid city. i went to 4 different stores and they didnt have it... soo ya and i went back to the place where i got the 12 point 9/16 and tried the 14mm since its a tiny bit smaller.. its exactly the same outside diameter as the 9/16 socket... so i'll be...

9/16 inch = 14.2875 millimeters did you use it on 7m studs? because even 14mm would be a little tight. idk how you use 13mm?

nope. either 9/16" or 14mm 12 point socket for arp studs.. and the 9/16 socket i had was a deep socket.. it was just too wide to fit in the bolt area

a little bit of an update. i go to but the head on...and before hand i flipped it over to clean the surface a bit before i put it on.. i forgot that i left the shims in there and a few of them fell out and may have been mixedd up which sucks! but thats fixable.. so no big deal so the head is on...

in that case. you are probably going to use a breaker bar.. soo you could try the starter method. that way you dont need any holding tools and such.
