Wow, what a steal!
Guess you and me are going to have to have a competition since we'll both be using Eagle/JE internals, AEM, and such :P Kinda wanna know what cams are in it :O
I am unsure about any of the old school modded ECU's. Mines and Techtom both did them, but if I remember right, they were for the stock setup The lex/550 trick still requires a piggyback to fine-tune it as far as I know.
As for the pins, which ones did you need? If you're trying to re-pin the...
Its underneath the throttle body. The harness has attachment clips from the factor the secure it away from the EGR tube, but its pretty common on engine swaps to see the harness resting right on top of it. Takes about a week to a month for it to burn through th covers and into the wires.
I'll show rain or shine, it might just be a smaller meet than nice weather would have promoted. :( Hopefully too many people aren't skurred of a little water... ;)
:fistpump: Fix up the wires that melted, and get the harness fastened far, far away from the evil EGR heat! Congrats on finding the problem!
Credit should also go to Jetjock, as his "EGT sensor chafeing" statement reminded me of the EGR burning issue :) GO TEAM!!
Old bump, but the only part you should replace is the bolt. It has a spring and check ball that can wear and cause excessive oil bypassing (through the squirters)
Clean out the actual sprayer nozzle and you're good to reassemble with new bolts :)
I will show with my Supra to this meet rain/snow/hail/tornado. I will not miss 4 big Supra meets in a row!
In other news, I ordered my new injectors today- got a buyer for the 720's! The 67 has a lot more lag than the 64, but perhaps tuning it in will bring the spool back. That and installing...
Well, if its deserved, it should be given! Looks great, and should work out just fine. Might have a buyer for my injectors so more fuel might be around the corner :D
Yeah, I had heard there were issues, just never confirmed them beyond what I had heard :(
I'll talk to you more about building the engine/setting goals for the build at the meet- waaaay too much stuff to organize into text at the moment :o
To be honest, don't do cams until you have an EMS controlling the fuel and upping the redline. Rob is running 272's and is hating life because he can't idle right (waaaay too lean) plus he can't take full advantage of the powerband with the stock ecu :( . The stock cams are good for the stock...
Something else that just came to mind- **only applies if you still have your EGR hooked up still** Check at the EGR valve for the harness rubbing on the steel EGR pipe- if the harness touches it the plastic will melt after driving for a few miles!
I've seen a lot of Camry and Celicas that...
Here's how I mounted my coolers- Full-flow oil cooler on DS, stock oil cooler (as a power steering cooler on the PS)
Note: I have no A/C, so that may make a difference for sme people!
So far I'm seeing around 15 people in this thread, and Emilio has sent out a bunch of notices on SF, so I'd figure at least 20 people sold be showing up. but lets do a sign-in: copy and paste this template and add your name!!
