holsset works the same as any other turbo
and 349 at 12 psi on a 2.5 is damn good
im just trying to get an understanding how he can dog someone about not buying expensive ass stuff right off the shelf but yet he does the same thing....putting pieces together to build a trans and making it cheaper is the samething as buying the pieces of a turbo kit and putting it together for...
looking back at this i dont see why you're using other pieces and building your own (experimenting) on your tranny? why be cheap when you have a 1JZ swap? why not go buy the REAL BL tranny thats tried and true and proven in the world of JZ motors instead of putting it together with cheaper parts...
if its disappearing real slow its pretty normal man
but if its like 1 qt a week THEN you have a problem
edit:: damn 1 qt every 3 weeks is pretty fast
are you on stock CT? if so check your oil return line from the turbo and on the block side
mine leaked 1 qt every month from there
i say it sounds pretty normal for a strong HEALTHY motor
my car has smoking twins and i beat my friends 1J who has good twins, 550's, walbro, and 2J cams in his on the same boost level i pull away from him

i dunno how you got it for 250 tho
all the ones i see on the bay for 250 are FAWKED to hell and back
