The 3 stooges sound is the Compressor section cavitating and slowing/speeding up....
With a good fast acting BoV this is minimised so the Turbo speed doesn't have any big variations on shifts and you maintain boost without big Dips and Peaks and this makes for smoother more consistant power...
WTF?
Seriously there is NO "base setting"..... :aigo:
It's different for every single motor that's why you get a timing tag with new cams and you then degree to the Tag as a baseline.
If you don't have a 0 point how do you know what your "base setting" is on the motor.
Ask J about...
Big difference between talking about it and actually doing it......
Might have to change this to "GunnaMania" as in "Im gunna do this and I'm gunna do that" :aigo:
I stopped by the truck races one afternoon here while out driving ;)
The Circuit they were using is commonly referred to as "the Kart track" by normal race drivers (Winton raceway in Victoria)
At that time you stood maybe 20 feet from the straight to spectate, There's a corner coming onto...
I pump as much out of the bleeders as I can then Flush the system with Metholated spirits (denatured alcohol as it's attracts water encloses it and carries it out of the system)
I then fill with my fluid of choice and pump an extra Qt rhrough the bleeders till I'm happy it's only clean brake...
It was a GT3040R BB with a .63ar hotside.
Pretty well made boost off idle and was fully spooled by 2000.
Might have some pics somewhere not really sure on the Dyno charts though as I lost a motor during one of the sessions so didn't record it.
(Injector laid down and torched a piston)
