Your "friend" does realise it's just a toon doesn't he? :nono:
(I'd think Injecting it would be more offensive just from the drug culture PoV but that's just me)
Trust me you CAN'T avoid it due to the angles on the end runners.
You can either have minimal gaps inside or outside it's your choice.
(I found outside gaps were easier to deal with)
My dream car
It would need to be 100% stock appearence wise and have full Supra running gear ie: Suspension and Steering along with a BBK!
(thought about this using a late 60's Monaro as the donor shell)
Never understood the low fuel/pump overheating argument?
When the fuel is that low the motor stops followed by the pump ;)
(hint Bosch 040 and 044 are identical pumps the 040 being the in tank pump the 044 the external)
I used to use a Marker to trace around the runners then cut the holes out roughly with a hole saw and blend with the Die Grinder and a carbide bit.
I found it's MUCH easier to use a flat floor though say 3" wide by the length of the runners then cut a strip out of the 4" pipe to match.
^ Depends on the Ring material.
Plain cast iron 2nd rings are quite soft most top rings are hard and will take longer, file a small amount then check often to sneak up on the correct gaps.
^ That's how I did mine
You can use 1xDis4 and 1x Dis2 to get the 6 channels but if you're firing them using the stock Ignitor 1x Dis4 in Waste fire mode makes more sense as the MSD hardware is HUGE and it's hard to find room for 2 boxes.
I used to make mine like that and would slice the 4" length ways so you have 2x U shaped pieces, cut the holes for the runners finish weld them radius the entries then weld the "lid" on.
^ Ditto those are some of the worst I've seen.
And YES it will affect performance as the Gate can't seal so this affects spool.
Cause is the hole needed to be radiused when new and due to the Mass/shape involved all of the stress is concentrated on the hole during expansion/contraction in...
My car runs +5c if I drive at highway speeds with the undertray off.
(My cooling system is large and perfect)
So on a car that where the cooling isn't optimal it can cause the above symptoms.
