Yes I can if you start at a lower temp it will take longer to reach the systems limits BUT you have a MONSTER heat generator in the front of these cars so I was being generous saying an extra 30 seconds....
If the system is that marginal it's time to address any short comings, having said...
As I said in an earlier post the lower T-stat will only delay getting to the temp your system runs at.
Under power you're generating xx BTU's of heat if you have excess cooling capacity it will run cooler if you it will run hotter.
No t-stat with excess capacity means it will just keep...
A nice drive on the weekend for me is 1000 Km's/600 mile , a quick I'm bored is about 200 Km's/125 mile :D
NOTHING puts a smile back on my face like this car.
Talking with my bud now, stock is Gas filled so this will be why they're non rebuildable.
My car's an 86.5 and from memory had Oil Tems, either that or they were 99% cootered and had filled the bodies with Oil ;)
I'll ask a bud if he heas a spare shock I can look at.
(Pulled mine when I got the car in 97 and installed Koni's so didn't really "look" at them)
I remember sitting at the Kitchen table rebuilding a Showa rear shock out of my CR450RB race bike that was covered in "Non Rebuildable" stickers...
Blake: You missed the ? at the end of my sentence ;)
I hand all my parts to the shop and tell them "balance it" it's their job they know what they're doing so I have NFI what speeds they spin it up at.
If the S13 is such a good car and worth so much why are they trying to offload it on you for such a cheap trade?
(trust me it's not because they're nice guys and want you to come out ahead)
