Bob: Digi Verniers are cheap now and good enough for this job.
Yep if you can't get a feeler in at all swap in a thin shim.
If you go through all the valves and record each on then figure out just which shims sizes you need someone here may just have the correct ones.
Thinner is always...
Time for a new set of feelers that go smaller ;)
You need to find out exactly what the current clearence is then measure the current shim and subtract what's needed to get you into the right 6>10 range.
It's NOT rocket surgery but you do need accurate measurements ;)
I'd still pull the...
The Electronics and looms are mirror imaged in a RHD car so be ready to swap the ENTIRE harness and ALL electronics from the RHD donor car.
As Figgie says this alone would stop a RHD conversion in it's tracks if you wanted to do the job properly.
You'd be far better off buying a full RHD...
The lower temp T Stat will only give you a head start before it reaches 220f.
In summer you're exceeding the cooling system capacity nothing more left to give as I mentioned earlier the O2W Cooler is dumping extra BTU's into a limited capacity due to the stock size radiator.
If you make...
Never said I hated it ;)
Wrong side driving sucks big hairy dog balls.
Makes no sense unless it's a class car that will benefit from shifting the 170 Lb's of dead weight.
But any repair/fix on Brads car is going to stand out more than the flew that's being corrected ;)
Much easier when it's a solid plain colour like White :icon_razz
Anyone that picks any of the tiny flaws in the car needs a swift kick in the nads and told to fuck off and do better if they can!
Only time a car will be perfect is if it's NOT a driver....
Don't know about you guys but show cars do nothing for me no matter how good they are... may as well be paintings. ;)
Please don't post "I've heard" in the tech section.
If you've experienced failures in that boost range by all means but "I've heard" just doesn't cut it here thanks.
Yep shouldn't move at all.
The stock rubbers perish/soften with age and this will let the rack wander around while driving depending on the loads.
I'm using the RK Poly rack mounts and they've been very good.
With the engine running get someone to turn it lock to lock while you watch the rack and steering shafts.
There shouldn't be much if any play in a rack car.
