    What does the shaft look like where the bearings ride? Are the bearings badly worn?

    Overspeed while lean will do it as well. (ie: Map based car with a boost leak)

    Alway's locked mine at a set size so it's not dynamic and sucking CPU to resize itself. I also dump it on the D drive as I have enough ram to not have to hit it too often.

    Bronchitis: You'd be far better off replacing 2 if you can swing the $$$ as the car will drive like a sack of poo with a mismatched pair on the same axle. ;)

    J Told me he bypassed the Boost Controller plumbing the WG directly to a boost source and did the exact same thing. Can't say I'm surprised that shimming the valve springs didn't help as 70 pounds seat pressure was adequate.

    Even if it was a built engine and had all of the paperwork to support the claim that doesn't mean it's in good condition as even good parts wear and fail.

    Early starter is 2x Bolts and Nuts Late starter is 2x Bolts
