    The last piece of shaft just before the diff is actually a tube in a tube that's bonded together.

    5th gear at a low road speed (75kph) and stand on the throttle if it's slipping this will show it. The speedo won't rise but the tacho will of it's clutch slip. If the speedo is rising but road speed isn't the bonded rear driveshaft section may have failed.
