    If that plug wasn't fitted you'd have pretty well 0.00psi Oil pressure ;) But if it's leaking it WILL leak to the outside world as it's behind the wing on the timing case (green circle) and that part of the case is outside the gasket. It wouldn't explain the inside front of the damper...

    Get a late model post 89 starter if you can it's tapped so you don't need nuts to install so much easier.

    Has your idle oil pressure decreased? Try pulling an injector clip at a time with it idling and see if the tap changes, replace clip and repeat down the engine.

    This is where measuring things comes into play..... You need to measure the bores and piston skirts then look at the bore condition and decide if it's in good enough shape straightness/roundness to attempt a hone and then remeasure and see if the skirt to bore clearences are still within...

    Measure measure and measure some more... No one has a crystal ball when it comes to engines and you just don't know until you're inside what it might need. Having said that 99% of 7m failures are from cutting corners not dotting i's or crossing t's, the details will fuck you every time.
