    If you lever up the little plastic flap they should unplug, not sure if you'll be able to buy/source the crimp connectors though.

    I had these issues using a Wolf ECU and the stock Tach, I ended up taking the Tach to an instrument shop and they added some resistors to dampen the incoming signal to something the Tach was happy to read.     Ran into these issues a few times over the years, try a few different USB/Serial adaptors Dan as the guys have said it's pot luck which ones will work with your combination!
