    They're just casting marks, You could tape it or use some heat shrink tubing Sam. Replacing it with some decent Tefzal wire and a Deutsch connector would be the best option this way it's never going to be an issue again.

    Are you talking about the circled areas? As long as the wires can't touch each other or ground on anything it shouldn't make a difference but you need to insulate them.
