Ahhh thought you were being serious due to the lack of a :p!
Yes that's a Late block, the only differences are as noted in my pics in post #1, they were all taken on the same night as I had both blocks on stands just before assembly so we were able to examine them carefully.
8x 4.250" Cylinders once bored actually give a good displacement increase i.e.: +60 427ci = 440ci or +13ci , 6x 3.26" @ +60 will only yield =7ci and the actual HP increase from that would barely be measurable on a chassis dyno.
A +60 Early block is going to have very thin walls and will...
1mm= 40 thou
The increase you get from an overbore isn't worth the effort/expense, much better to keep the walls as thick as possible and dial in a little more boost.
LOL thanks, mine is anti pimp :D
It's nice being able to display EVERYTHING in one place and I have it set if there's an issue with something going out of the normal operating range it will replace something else on the dash and flash a warning so you don't have to have information overload...
Just make sure I'm actually dead and don't just smell that way ok ;)
Makes for a smaller crankcase if you run some of the weight outside ala 454 Chev.
Welcome Lad!
Main differences are the Intake dividers Sam, most of the other changes are running changes not performance based.
Would need to flow both types to understand if one is better than the other but I suspect the runner change is more an emissions thing.
Only have pics for a couple of different one's Nick, my last head was a "#16" and the really early ones were unnumbered so there are a least 17 revisions.
Figured it'd be a good thing to sticky while it was on my mind ;)
Block differences are in the pics below click them to enlarge I've written what to look for on em, the light block is an 87T the Heavy is my New 93T from Toyota.

Solid mounts = fail..... :nono:
If you're going to do it do it right with aluminium not rubber..
(rubber will flex and you'll have the bolt rubbing and possible noise)
