the braces are there for a reason. they help to support the turbo. i wouldnt think twice about running/driving my car without all the braces for the CT in place. you'll end up stripping out all the threads in the head where the exhaust manifold is bolted to. -shaeff

this is how you shim your oil pump. information thanks to Ideal Supra. it was suggested to use about 14mm of washers to help bump up the oil pressure, since the 7m is known for low oil pressure. check the following diagram: -shaeff

the TB, wrap around coolant hardline, EGR, throttle linkage, vaccuum line for the brake booster (the steel part on the back of the intake manifold) are different. thats all i can think of without looking at my motor.

i hate dealing with the water hose behind the block, so i just reversed the direction the coolant flows through my heater core. it goes from the banjo bolt at the back of the head into the driver's side, and then out and back into the spot thats normally capped off on USDM models. it works...

theres no such thing as a high volume oil pump for the 7m ;) everyone claims to have them, but there's no such thing. you got ripped :( on that note, shimming the oil pump would help to solve your problem. -shaeff
