    Nope well sort of, they have louvres in the tray. Do you have the holes in the rod beams?

    Personally I like to keep it in the bay or at least somewhere "warm", not keen on the idea of 3 litres of cold oil glugging into a red hot engine... :(

    That's assuming he knows how to check the fluid correctly and didn't just pull the dipstick with it cold/not running ;)

    A proper windage tray can be very effective but I haven't seen one for a 7M, Normal steel scraper will leave a film on the crank due to the clearence required the Teflon scraper is actually trimmed to contact the crank so acts as a wiper.

    Hard to say without them being out and good pics, might have had a supply issue i.e. Pumps/lines/filter.

    7M's still have the cam on the aux shaft, I machined mine off. Also got bored and CNC'd my own blockoff plates :)
