you dont want the oil to be TOO cool, which CAN happen. especially in the fall, winter. you want that oil at 'operating temperature.' for summer time, you can *probably* get away with no thermostat, but i wouldnt do it, personally. edit: jeff beat me to it...! -shaeff

chances are- your dimmer is messed up. try swapping in a known good one. dimmers tend to be the problem with dash lights, dash fuses, etc. check that, makes sure all the wires are ok and whatnot. brake lights- check the 'lamp failure' module mounted behind the drivers side access panel below...

a brief search would yeild the answers you're looking for, however... the stock oil filter mount directs oil to the oil cooler based on PRESSURE. most will agree that is a flawed system. it should be based on temperature, which is why people put the N/A filter mount on, a filter relocator...
