as long as the block is true, and not pitted, go for it. use the copper spray, or permatex brake quiet to help it seal. (check the "shaeff's buildup (400whp)") thread for info on the permatex. thats about how my block looked when i slapped on my Cometic. (but i used the permatex). we'll see how...

as medic said, the only real difference, aside from hose routing for the heater core, throttle body (because it's an RHD motor), and EGR, is that it's JDM tyte, yo. they're the same stock horsepower, and torque as the USDM motors. and fix that TPS! every time you post you say it's still...

^^ yes, i've had great success with jb weld. do both of the above. re-tap it, put in an oversize fitting, AND jb weld it. it's almost guaranteed success! -shaeff
