This sounds a little like buying the farm to get the cow. Fix what you got is my advice. If all the problems REALLY bother you, you probably shouldnt own a mk3.
That being said, you could pull the engine in a day, get it on a stand, pull the head and get the holes drilled out for the cam...
^^I like your front lip ;)
Nice look. Im generally not a fan of black wheels on red but your car seems to pull it off somehow. Might be the tinted tails/big black lip/tinted windows combination, but whatever it is I like it.
ohh oops...somehow missed that sorry. I just thought that might point to it being oil or not. Seems like it must be carbon fouling then. Now might be a good time to remove your injectors and have them cleaned and tested. Even if that injector isnt leaking you will have clean injectors when done...
nope, I was sure it was a bond film so I looked it up...Goldfinger. Pretty good guess on my part.
"Hey you guys know what that song is about? Its about the aliens. We're the aliens man, we're the savages. We're the savages man. "
That car is just sooo hot. The black with the machined ribs in the VC's and the aluminum intake.... :yum:
I recently decided that Im going to sell my Cherokee and get a mk2. Hopefully have something by this summer.
?
When you say "all emission control devices" what specifically are you referring to and why was it removed?
It sounds like your wastegate isnt opening properly. Check to make sure the vacuum line from the turbo outlet to the actualtor is in good shape. Its possible the actuator itself is...
holy 80's bra Batman!
That car looks beat to hell on the outside, and pretty good inside. Would be curious to see under the hood. No way in hell I would pay 4 for it.
Well if the blame for the accident is in question then its hard to say. At the scene, NEVER admit responsibility for the accident, only acknowledge involvement. At this point you have little else you can do. You can call the guy and try to work out an arrangement that makes you both happy (he...
Speculation based on inadequate data doesnt seem like useful information to me. Get some calipers, take the turbo apart, and measure the wheels. I would think you would want to know that information one way or another if you plan to run that turbo.
Well I had a coupler blow off one time but it was on a pipe that had good external mounting so the coupler sort of stayed on the end of the pipe getting enough seal to drive at low boost but it would reach a critical pressure point about 7 or so lbs and then dump all the pressure in one big...
too hard to say, too many options. Boost leak is possible, but I think it would have to be a big one (like a coupler blown off a pipe). But it could be an electrical problem, it could be a fuel problem....its almost impossible to give any kind of meaningful information based on what youve told...
wow, you needed to make a post to ask how to remove a sticker from a window? :nono:
what is this world comming to?
seriously use a razor blade and be done with it.
