Being without a heater, the cold wont be the real problem the humidity will. If you can manage to keep the inside dry enough during winter you shouldnt have too much need for a defroster. That being said, its not something I would do to a DD. Do you have alternate transportation just in case?
There is an asshole for every seat...but finding one willing to pay 16k for a mkII...even one that nice, is gonna be tough. I saw the car in person in Centrailia and it is definately nice all the way around. Good examples of mkII's just arent hard enough to find quite yet.
Good luck with the...
Its really a question of whether or not your underhood temps are normal or not. I dont know what exactly a normal temp range should be though, perhaps someone else on here has measured it. You might want to wrap your header in heat wrap, that might reduce the temp some. The hood insulator will...
^^OMG, lol. Amazon Women on the Moon? Talk about obscure! I did a take off of that scene with Arsenio for one of my student film projects.
"What I do?"
"You killed the car"
I know Im NOT old...I just feeeeeel old. Have been having some health issues and just not feeling well.
Lucy calls me now and then, lol. Apparently she leaned out and blew the #1 piston. The rumor is a 2J is in her near furture. I told her owner to post up a build thread here. He said he would.
Thanks for the well wishes everyone. I had a casual day, then my sister and niece came for dinner. We stayed up late talking about the "old days" and all the craziness we got into. Funny what you remember with a little prompting. Then I watched a really bizzare movie and crashed. All in all a...
You seem to have ignored a simple fact. The people who make street racing films arent street racers, they are film makers. Anything that puts asses in the seats is fair game to them and while you and I know better and dont condone it, lets face it there is a HUGE market to tap to sell your movie...
That right there makes perfect sense and completely dispels the myth for me.
PS. like I said before it was an old stock car driver that told me that, he said they also used to take half the impeller fins off the water pumps as well. Just goes to show how things change.
well then yeah, you are gonna have to run a new circuit. If getting to the attic space isnt too hard it shouldnt be too bad. I would guess if you dont have too far of a run that you may be looking at under $200. Damn Electricians aint cheap unfortunately.
It shouldnt be anywhere near $800 lol, unless you need the concrete slab torn up to lay cable or something crazy.
It might depend on the age of the house and how its currently wired. If the house isnt too old you should indeed have a 120/240 supply. If not
a 240v compressor motor should be...
do you mean 220v? If so any regular outlet can be converted to 220 provided its on a circuit with enough amps to handle your welder and doesnt require any special skills. If however you need a line run get an electrician to do it.
edit: opps re-read, not a welder but a compressor. That is...
Hell I dont need to be reminded that on ANY day :sarcasm:
ohh yeah, and Im 44 and feel it. Vacuumed out my jeep and was so tired I had to come inside and surf....supramania...yeah thats it. :naughty:
...for me! Happy Birthday to me!
Im gonna sit around in my PJ's all day, drink coffee, and surf the internet.
Oh wait...thats what I do every day! :naughty:
I have mixed feelings about it. Its a cool swap and they obviously put some serious work into it. Its makes sick HP and making a small block make that kind of HP would probably cost just as much...
BUT...I hate to see such a beautiful car desecrated like that. I mean American muscle should...
I used to own an 84 Z31 Anniversary Turbo. Asside from an annoying electrical issue and the bad injectors it was a fantastic car. I liked the styling and all the electrical "toys" and having only had American Muscle before that I was blown away by the handling. I think those extra 500lbs make a...
