This is a 5spd car? To fill it there is a plug on the side of the trans, you put fluid in until it pours back out of that hole. Over-filling it could cause some sluggishness Im guessing. Extra fluid (thick gooey stuff to boot) to have to displace by the gears while rotating? I would pull that...
thanks to this forum I always run a full quart over.
That vid is a bit hard to hear the knock. I have heard lots of things that started off thinking RK, but ended up being something else fixable. Might want to be sure before you write it off.
dude, you just need to take more time finding the RIGHT one. Its ok for it to have problems, they just need to be within the realm of fixability for your skill level (or you need the budget to have someone else fix it). Secondly you need to not buy based on your heart but on your what your brain...
Scott, even though the outside is a mish mash of all those colors, you can still tell its a good lookin car. But the under the hood shot tell the tale of where the time, effort and money went so far. Considering where you started...the effort has been rewarded.

My only other problem with your build is that its SOOOO nice the way it is, and I almost feel sad you are going to do a 7M swap. The...
You were making such great progress too! Dont let it sit on the back burner for too long as that tends to turn from moths to years and in the end is sually followed by a for sale thread. Just keep doing the little parts that take labor and no money. I keep myself busy by picking an area on the...
I have been overheating after the engine is heat soaked and I have to stop for traffic. Once Im rolling again it comes down but I knew it was time to look into it. My old fan was pretty sad and the undercover was free (yep, free!). Ive already replaced the water pump and I think Im going to doa...
