good info guys! the tires i had in mind were either falken azeni sports, or 615's. i'll be looking up all the ones you've suggested, and comparing them. i havent decided if i'm getting my rear fenders rolled or not, but if i do, i might go with a 295 out back. :) not quite sure yet...

yes, the oil pressure sending unit is a little bigger than a 1/2 dollar coin. use a wire brush on the top of it to clean it up a bit. also, if you want to check the injector wiring, here's how they should be done. post #2: http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12671 -shaeff

most likely your timing, assuming you have fuel and spark. do this: with the motor off, and in neutral, (block the tires) get a 19mm socket wrench on the crank pulley. turn it until the notch mark lines up with the 0* mark on the timing cover. make sure both cam's matchmarks are alligned with...

i put an 89+ JDM GTE into my 86.5 chassis without a hitch. ok, what year is the NA->T motor. you said it has different mounts? if the mounts are different than the ones in the pic you posted, then it's an 89+ (round fluid filled mount) motor. it wont work on your car because yours is an '88...
