Yes, but are you waiting for the group hug or waiting for someone to touch you in a bad place?
IJ would probably touch you in a bad place if you let him..:arcadefre
Aside from potentially burning up the valves (and the possible detonation issues when you have something in the combustion chamber that is glowing hot), the other issue would be excessive cam wear. One thousandth too tight is likely ok, but if you have some thinner shims, it can't hurt to back...
And I think IJ nails it right on the head for EVERYONE involved.
The simple rule: THINK BEFORE YOU POST!
If you are stating opinion, say so.
If you are unsure of your statement, either don't post it or say you are unsure.
If you are going to post information, be prepared to back it...
Ok, now I know what you are complaining about. The no knock sensor! thread located here:
http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17253
Some of the posts in that thread deserve harsh replies. The way the ECU works is documented. It's not all that difficult to go read up on how it...
I guess my first question would be why can't you remove the IC? There are several methods you could use with it in the car, like jetjock's example above.
However I don't think it will do as good a job as the old "pour a gallon of gasoline into it and shake it" method... I've used that many...
Ok, now it's time for me to get my feathers a little ruffled. You've said there was a problem. I've offered to help. I've asked for specific examples, and you tell me "search"....
You want my help? Put the minimal amount of effort into it and I'll take it from there. If I find people being...
I've read your the thread. And honestly I don't see anything wrong. I see some valid suggestions and a tounge in cheek reply about using a crane (i.e. - saying that keeping the ic in the car is the difficult part) and a post telling you that this is a symptom of a larger problem and you should...
Only through the blatant abrogation of explicit constitutional rights is gun control even possible. It must be enforced with such violations of individual rights as intrusive search and seizure.
The various gun control's in today's agenda--including licensing, waiting periods, and bans on...
Heh...
Sorry you guys wasted time researching that, I already knew about those directives. I generally don't use them, for several reasons that are too long to go into here.
If it really wads everyone's panties up that much, I'll put them in....
Heh.
I own the server. This is an Apache 2.0 box running with 'named based virtual hosting'.
I've got many many sites running on one of the boxes IP's. (I've actually got multiple IP's, but I've never found Supramania needed a dedicated one - I tend to save those for business related...
On a side note, do any of you guys have the crank throw numbers for that kit?
I'd like to the full blown stress analysis calcs on this setup rather than the quick & dirty numbers we've been using.
Figgie..
Your entire post is non-sequiter.
I'm aware of the topic we are discussing. I'm aware that the two of you are running this kit.
We're talking about sane engine design, not what "you feel" or what can be done.
I've already stated multiple times that revving these motors is...
The vast majority of Supra owners on this board use the car as a daily driver. Additionally, quite a lot of them rely on it as the ONLY car they have.
I didn't say it couldn't be done. I said is isn't a good idea. Go back an re-read my original post. I'm not sure what you disagree with...
