thread moved. try this: unplug one injector at a time, if the noise goes away when you unplug an injector, chances are, it's rodknock. another way, turn car off, unplug one of the spark plug leads. start car. noise still there? turn car off, plug previous one back in, unplug another, start...

if you hear the pressure releasing, you've definately got a boost leak, which will cause the fuel cut code. ;) chances are it's not your wastegate if you threw a code 34... -shaeff

engine bay, nothing pretty... yet;) and here are some of my rust shots, wooo! : basically, there's trim falling off, rust holes THROUGH the doors, bubbling over the rear fenders, mud flaps are trashed, and almost falling off, front fenders are trashed near the mudflaps... etc...

eh, i disagree a little bit here. you really cant tune idle with the SAFC, because the ECU will keep re-adjusting/ "correcting" whatever you do... i got an AFPR so i could lower the fuel pressure, and i lowered it A LOT. i'm still running rich enough that the fumes from the exhaust burn my eyes...

boost leak. check your intercoolerpipes and coupler(s). -shaeff

^ heh, here's my future setup, of which i have many of the parts already: all black, including molding, gunmetal gray mkiv TT rims w/ polished lip, hatch visor, 89+ tails, euro power folding mirrors, and no antenna/rear wiper. rain guards for over the doors. :) already lowered. still need...

i'm not sure what they're set to, but i'm assuming that they're not set VERY tight. the way that the ssqv works, is that boost holds it SHUT, so technically, it CANNOT leak under boost, then when you let off, the switch over to vacuum is supposed to open the valve, purging the pressurized...
