reminds me of my best friends from high school, of whom i was also in a band with for over 5 years. all they do on the weekends is go out and drink. they always want me to go, and i told them i don't like to go out and drink, but that's all they ever want to do. i rarely hang out with them...
i've got MSD wires. i've got a wicked miss at idle, but throughout the rest of the rpm band, it doesn't miss a beat. the miss could very well be from my plugs being very fouled. (i'm running very, very rich at the moment). i also run autolite 3923 coppers gapped to .30

awesome. thanks jeff! (and will)
i also did some scouting around on the net, and found "wheels america"
check them out here:

they've got some before and after shots, too. and guarantee their work forever.

i brought the rim to two different places today, and nobody wants anything to do with it. so far, not so good. the garage i brought them to already mounted the other three tires and balanced them, so if i get a new rim, it's a crapshoot at matching the color. that's going to drive me insane. :(...
i'll keep my 2lb heater core for those chilly summer nights. it's not like it weighs alot... and it helps cool down between runs at the track, too. ;)

yes, all the rust will eventually be taken care of. exterior first, as that's the worst of it. the underhood stuff is surface rust, and can easily be fixed.
and i have mine strapped to the brake booster.

haha. i sure hope so. (laughing at the old woman part)
so i just called the garage back, and the crack is close to where the bead seals on the tire. i think i'm going to try to get it welded. at least for now. i'm running low on funds as of late, and unless i get a wicked deal on another...
ah hell. :( i was so excited today, too. now it's raining and i'm angry. i was really looking forward to my new rim/tire combo. i wonder how good the chances are of finding a single MKIV rim for sale. :(

so, some time ago i picked up a set of MKIV TT rims. i just got my tires delivered today, and i brought them along with the rims to a reputable shop in my town to be mounted and balanced.
apparently, one of the rear (9.5" wide) rims is cracked and will not hold air. is there any way to fix...
as IHI said, if it'll rev while in neutral and not under load, it's probably a huge IC/piping leak.
you could disconnect the CSI from the fuel rail and stick the fuel pressure gauge there temporarily.

i'll surely let you know over the summer, when i get my aftermarket gauges installed. (one of which will be oil temp)
for reference sake, i'm running an 11x8 B&M supercooler, and a B&M 180* thermostat, along with a filter relocation kit. :)
