    Monster Tach Install...

i'd just use the wire that SupraCentral stated. (the green one) a real easy way to get the wires through that grommet, is to use a metal coat hanger. i've never had a problem with it. -shaeff

    Monster Tach Install...

MA70witBoost: your catch can isn't going to be doing a whole lot over there near the exhaust. the can will get so hot that the vapors won't even condense, and they'll still make their way back into the intake tract, (via vaccuum). move it over near the brake booster. keep it in as cool of a...

How do you keep your electrical plugs in good order?

i'd give a look at some newer toyota cars, see what plugs are available from the dealer, and perhaps some will be the same, or some could be adapted to our cars?

Supra Solid Motor Mounts Billet Aluminum

yes, you have the pre'89 style (Square) mounts. what do you mean they were in pieces? when i pulled mine off, the plate that mates up against the bracket on the motor comes right off. (both do) mine still work fine. -shaeff

    Brake Lights Stay On!

key words here: "before i washed my car" you have a short in the "lamp failure" box in the access panel below the driver's side tail light. disconnect it, pull it out, pop it apart, clean/dry it out, re-solder any corroded connections, and pop it back in. you should be good to go...

    Electrical Connectors

i'd cut, solder, heat shrink, and because i'm anal when it comes to wiring, and i hate corrosion with a passion, go over the heat shrink with brush on electric tape to prevent anything from getting under the heat shrink. i love brush on electric tape. just don't get it on you. -shaeff

    code 52

the ECU will retard timing, and enrichen fuel mixture. the code is just there to let you know that the ECU isn't receiving the output from the KS(s). ;) be careful on how you word your questions. ;) -shaeff

You know you're a Supra owner when...

when you don't want to spend the time putting on aftermarket go-fast parts simply because it'll cause you to have downtime where you can't drive it. :( -shaeff

boost prob , cant get any more than 10psi !!!!

well, if you can't pass 10psi, and your turbo hasn't decided it's going to give up, then you most likely either have a 10psi spring in your wastegate, or a massive boost leak. -shaeff

    Broken Seatbelt

heh, that's happened to me TWICE now. i've been through two sets of seatbelts because the color never matches quite perfectly, and it bothers the crap out of me. first time was my now ex-girlfriend, slammed it in the door. (i always told her to watch out for it. then i got a new one...

ddp or regular open mouth downpipe?

and remember, if you get an electronic boost controller, the wastegate won't open until your desired boost setting, so you won't have the wastegate opening around town and whatnot. only under wide open throttle, and after your desired boost setting has been reached. ;) -shaeff

Aftermarket gauges - where do you place them?

no reason for an ash tray if you don't smoke. i've got gauge plans coming this summer. i'll definatly post pics when i've got it done. :) (think custom cluster, along with 5-6 gauges in the shifter bezel) edit: no reason for an ash try if you DO smoke. get out of the damn car if you're going...
