lagged is correct. i have mine running backwards. no ill-effects. works fine. :) i ran them backwards because i HATE the stock USDM method of feeding the heater core from that nearly impossible-to-reach behind the block/head. so on my JDM motor, i left the cap on there, and hooked up a heater...
it retards the timing and enrichens fuel mixture in case of knock. it's a safety feature. if yours are throwing a code 52, rewire them using sheilded cable.

at least it's not one of the ugly new ones. those things are ugly as sin! keep it, daily drive/mildly mod it, and use the supra as the weekend warrior. if you sell it, i'll throw grapes at you while you sleep.
