it retards the timing and enrichens fuel mixture in case of knock. it's a safety feature. if yours are throwing a code 52, rewire them using sheilded cable. -shaeff

i'm running (if i remember right) an automatic ECU in my turbo swapped N/A chassis, with a w58. everything works fine. -shaeff

at least it's not one of the ugly new ones. those things are ugly as sin! keep it, daily drive/mildly mod it, and use the supra as the weekend warrior. if you sell it, i'll throw grapes at you while you sleep. -shaeff

i run both a clutchmasters and a fidanza, and both are working flawlessly for me. i guess it's luck of the draw. -shaeff

supposedly, since the JDM sensors read in a different calibration, the pressure reading would be incorrect, which is why i changed mine, too. -shaeff
