no, you can't just slap a turbo-a ecu in our cars. we operate off of a KV signal (karman vortex signal from the airflow meter) the turbo-a cars operate off of a MAP sensor. (manifold absolute pressure). our ECU would have no idea what to do with that signal... more info at www.mkiiitech.com...

oh i see. :) yes, the AUTOMATIC ECU will work fine with the 5 speed transmission. :) -shaeff

another common place for boost leaks is the charge pipe directly off the bottom of the turbo. it gets abused by lots of heat from the turbo/exhaust manifold, and tends to crack near, causing a boost leak. :) -shaeff

what exactly are you doing? replacing the r154 with the w58? if so, just swap trannys and associated parts. no need to mess around with ECU's. -shaeff

i work a night job in a liquor warehouse. 7pm-5am. pay- $18.32/hr, with time and a half for overtime. :) i work monday-thursday. (have friday-sunday off, and don't have to be at work until monday at 7pm) the hours suck, the work is hard, but it pays well. saving up for my last 2 years of...
