In the steel case Toyota 5 speed I ran in the old Z car I ended up mixing Trans fluid and Gear Oil to get it to actually shift at all when cold :)
(otherwise it was both hands on the shifter and blood veins popping on the forehead to get it to move)
That would work but you still have the LCA from the Titanic ;)
If someone has the skills to do this they have the skills to fabriate some arms and just use the Mk3 uprights/steering/brakes.
Rear shocks are going to be harder as they're mounted high on the upright due to the axles.

That's how you "adjust" valve lash on these engines
(DON'T mix them up)
Each Bucket and Shim must be kept together and in it's original hole if you're not reshimming.
Biggest "issues" I can see using a70 parts is a: weight and b: Shock towers, might work out if you can figure out some sort of rocker linkage to run some shocks horizontal, the weight thing will get exe real quick though..
