You can put a tie strap around the windshield wiper post and the top holes on the transmission to suspend it without the engine in the car. Put something to protect the sheetmetal like a bunched up rag.

If you work fast it takes about 3 hours to get them off and back on, if you have all the right tools. Many of the nuts are hard to access with enough torque to break them free. It's not THAT bad but if you do it once you will not look forward to doing it again :biglaugh: I hear the y-pipe...

look at 15.2 in the pic I posted for the fork. You can deffinately get the engine out with the trans in the car.

You gotta pull the shift fork out! It just snaps into the trans, remove the inspection cover on the bellhousing and pull the fork out.

Mild steel for less then $150. Full stainless for less then $200. And btw, that y pipe is great....until you see how much work it is to install! With the engine in the car (or out of the car) removing the turbos is a real bitch. Once you took them off you might as well throw a single on there.
