update:
i put it all back together, and it fired up first try no hesitation at all. :) i fixed his coolant temp gauge (as it was not reading at all) and waited for it to warm up to operating temp. took it down the road a few times- it was hesitating badly upon first touch of the throttle. i...
yep, i got it today- but it's been POURING rain all day here. :( i might take a look at it later regardless, depending on how wet i feel like getting. (i wish my car ran so i could pull yours in the garage)

alright, i'll look into it if i have some time. i've been swamped this week with work, and a bunch of B.S. around my house.
pretty sleep deprived. and i have to drive out to lyons, NY on monday (5 hours or so...) kindof sucks.
i'll keep a lookout for those parts. i get off at 2 tomorrow...
if you get it to me quickly along with the wiring diagram, i might be able to get it done. i'm leaving for a "business trip" for my job from monday until late thursday- i was hoping to have your car complete by then.
and my girlfriend comes back from her week vacation in maine on saturday...
toytota 4runner. i'm keeping my eyes open for a manual '99, with the TRD package (rear e-locker!)- so i can turn my '94 pickup into an offroad beast!

it doesn't matter to me, they're all supras. if you enjoy it, fuck the haters. i mean, did you buy the car for other people to comment on it, or did you buy it to satisfy yourself? honestly answer that question, and i'm sure you'll know what to do.
hell, my car was N/A for 2 years or so...
first, the TPS isn't necessarily bad. it could simply be out of adjustment. set it per the specs in the TSRM: http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/manual.aspx?Section=FI&P=100
second, the knock sensors probably aren't bad either. infact, they rarely go bad. (some people are animals...
i don't think the crank bolt is going to bend or snap. i'll be careful, i'm not just going to goop it on there. ;)
besides, i have an impact gun- i've never, EVER had a problem taking any bolt out using proper lubrication and precautions. ;) (aside from seized eccentric bolts on the front of...
nobody drives my car except for me. none of my friends have a powerful car, and would probably mess their pants when full spool breaks the tires loose in first through third, downhill.

update: i made a ball out of the epoxy that i got to fix the crank. i let it harden for 24 hours, and this shit is the real deal. it is absolutely the hardest curing epoxy i've ever used, and it's SO easy to work with!
i threw it at a cement wall, and it just bounced off. it sounded like a...
inside of crank pulley- notice how when the bolt came loose, the pulley slipped and crushed the key from the keyway.
and the crank carnage that followed:
will, i'll keep a tally/receipts of the cost, and let you know the total, and have the receipts to back it up.
that being said, here are the HUGE pics:
what my friend said when he saw the crank pulley.
the key for the key way:
i'll wait for will to give me the O.K. on posting pics of the problem. i should have them hosted tomorrow after i get off work. i think, after further inspection and cleaning, that i might be able to fix it. i've been doing lots of research of other vehicles with the same problem, and how...
so, i just got done working on will's car. i found the problem. i won't say what it is until i talk to him first. it's not good though, and i'm not sure if i can fix it easily, or in any short amount of time.

will, the timing belt and tensioner total came to $115.26 with my discount from the dealership. it should be in on tuesday at the latest. i'll probably throw my new belt on there tomorrow, and put the new tensioner on when it comes in on tuesday (and use the t-belt to replace my new spare)...
i just towed s383mmber1's car 60+ miles to my house with my tow dolly. (actually just got home a little while ago) mine weighs 750lbs, and can carry 3400 directly over the axle (which is a lot!)- it pivots and swivels, too. i picked it up for $750, rewired the lights, greased the wheel bearings...
