i put the spacer in there (w58, got a gte that was auto tranny and didnt realize that only the auto trannies used the spacer) and i had no ill effects. just fwiw.

yeah theres a "shoulder" on the hub which you want to face towards the flywheel.

if its a LED light on the spoiler (like the 89+ spoilers) the pre 89+ box will detect a tail lamp failure due to the different resistance of LED lights. also, if you have the regular pre 89 spoiler with a regular bulb, AND the third tail light that the car came with you would probably trip...

i sealed up that part of the taillights with clear RTV. NO water in my tail lights or hatch area anymore.

you might want to use your old ones (if they arent all shredded) as a template and make your own. the gaskets from toyota cost arond 30 bucks each if i remember correctly...... :icon_frow

i wraped some electrical tape around those little posts where the clips go and shoved it in the door, works pretty well.
