i ran regular oil lines like you, suze, but then blew one up, completely covering my motor in oil. what a bitch that was to clean. :( i've since upgraded to all SS braided line and -AN fittings. :)

for me, i cannot live without a truck. i'd love an AWD vehicle, but i cannot get past the practicality of having a truck. it's great in all weather type situations, i've driven over trees with it (fallen trees), it's wicked reliable, good mileage, i can load the bed with all kinds of crap...

^ nice! i got my girlfriend a '99 subaru legacy 4 door. it's in awesome shape, too! (and got a helluva deal!) it's nearly immaculate, and very fun in the snow. i'm going to teach her how to control the car should the need arise in the snow. (which gets me some AWD snow drifting time. haha)

check your codes. commonly, a badly adjusted TPS will cause this issue.

or, you could just pick up a die from any parts store and cut new threads onto the stick...

use a wiring harness that matches the chassis of the car, and get the ECU to match.

haha, i know jeff lange hates the 22re. but, he primarily doesn't like it as a car motor (ie: celica). i'm pretty sure he's ok with it as a truck motor. ;) haha ArthurRitus: i've run over LOTS of things, usually on purpose, sometimes not. i've had it buried to the axles and didn't get stuck. :)...

thanks:) it's actually got some rust on the rear driver's side quarter. (lots there), and the front passenger side fender ($60 for a new one, no big deal) i'll do some bodywork to it in the summer if i feel like it. the engine/drivetrain is in perfect operating condition. :) meticulously...

oh, don't get me wrong, i honestly can't kill this motor. haha. i'm convinced that it's indestructible. but, i <3 the 7M. ;) it's pretty stock. i relocated the air box to the passenger side, and put the battery on the driver's side. (eliminated about 3.5ft of intake piping) it's a bit more...
