BHGs can be intermittant leaks. sometimes it will leak, others it wont. i suspect that doing a compression test on a cold motor with a BHG of that type, would still give you acceptable readings.
is it turning over? double check timing, check timing belt. check cam timing. check all electrical connections.
that motor seems shot....i have a nice one with a fresh rebuild for sale...
its nice to see some facts. thanks!
heres something that will probably insult many:
i personally believe that the majority of t his country is made up of small minded and easily manipulated people. many of you, will agree. ironically, out of the many that will agree with that...
my 2cents is this, why do we need recruiters in the schools?
if someone wants to join the service then they will go to a local office and sign up there. why do they have to come and try to brainwash us while we are trying to get an education and land a job in some field? joining the military...
reasoning is this;
number 6 is farthest away from the radiator so it gets hotter coolant, HOWEVER we are measuring EGTs here, which are a product of combustion so.....
number 1 theoretically would be the leanest, as it is last in line to get fuel.
the rail is under pressure though so...
yes. oil fires bad.
when i get my car running again i will for sure have a fire extinguisher in it next time.....i just have to find one small enough to fit in the glove box.
there are different people with different values spread across the entire country. they have the right to vote for whatever they want, and they did just that. they exercised their rights. good for them. whether i think its a good idea or not? im not sure.
yeah i know something, you dont tune by EGT.
that said, i was running around 1550max which SHOULD have been safe, but my failing fuel pump still caused me to detonate and blow a HG.
EGTs should be used as a WARNING that you are at the meltdown level, you dont tune by it.
no if its just making a little bit of noise youll be fine.
when i replaced my clutch last time it took about 3.5 hours. this however is at a shop with a lift and air tools. i also had a friend helping me so take that into consideration.
