yo just take it home and park it. get your school shit straightend out, pay off some debts, save some more money and fix your supra.
theres no reason to rush.
also, the cams dont use bearings.
with EFI its the same, an IC engine is still an IC engine.
if you arent getting spark, there is a reason for that. so you first check error codes, and BAM you know your problem. otherwise you work your way through the ignition components. are the coil packs good? is the igniter working? etc etc.
yeah, theres no seperate ground for the sheilding alone.
hmmmm. well lets think. do the knock sensors themselves get grounded from the engine block? ive never had to remove one as of yet so i havent gotten a look at how they are grounded however i know its a singler wire to the sensor it...
check continuity from the knock sensor plug to the ECU.
make sure all connections are clean.
is it a NEW harness? or is it a "NEW" harness.
when repairing the knock sensor wiring it is very easy to forget that those wires are shielded and if you splice in the sheilding the connection...
the GTE ECU is part of the GTE ignition system.
the GTE ECU is ready to handle boost, has plent of aftermarket piggy back fuel computers and so on and so forth.
i think it is much easier to use all GTE electronics, that, and you can find just about everything for reasonable prices.
no, it should be just a joke because the knock sensors only retard timing if they detect knock, not throw a code.
id say they are still wired incorrectly.
ones you are gonna toss out? vice grips. just make it hella fucking tight on there and turn them out. they should come out easy.
if you have a good set of tools you can use a stud remover, itll equally ruin the threads on the stud so if you dont have one, use the other.
