well of course i'm biased lol
stick with the mk3 ;)
ppl here don't recognise the mk3... they're more... "there's a supra before the fast and the furious supra??"
but my car does turn heads and they really wonder what it is... and i get alot of great comments also
(then there's the mk4...
^ awesome... i've never used arps before and i'm planning on a non bhg 7m for the future... i was just gonna torque em up in stages of 3 or 4 but didn't realise i needed to loosen them on each stage
the arp paper i have also says 82ft lbs but i think i'll go 85ft lbs
thanks for the info :D
omg :o ur rite... remedying now
EDIT: well lucky for me, if you look at #1 cyl you can see a gap between the flange and the intake, IT'S NOT WELDED YET
yayyyyyyyy lol
so i've told him to turn it round LOL
thanks for noticing that Jason :)
LOL yea sorry :P best i could do without being too much of a perfectionist haha
yea thrust washers... and i couldn't get the crank to actually move... but while it was running i guess she walked miles ;)
had a customer come in with knocking and a tinging
pulled motor, stripped and found.............
consequently crank & block are screwed!!!!
pistons are ok LOL
did a compression check (cold tho, but needed an idea)
120-150 thought that was a bit too low even cold
did a check on...
LOL but i'm sure you won't like shipping considering they either gotta come from japan, aussie or new zealand hehe
we've got a 4.7 lsd dumped outside and just bought another 4.5 open for a spare
the 4.7 needs a rebuild tho... one day the dude that owns it might haha
LOLOLOL
the 1jz auto has features which you definitely don't want, esp when power levels are coming up, so you get rid of those features.. then the 1jz trannie lasts a total of a week and can handle one 3000rpm launch
we have eaten 8 1jz auto transmissions, 2 7m
we've had a 7m one in...
rear tail seals probly rotted, water goes down trail to go round lights but instead of going round and draining they're going into the lights and down inside hatch (oh stu.. here they call them TRUNKS.. they're not trees dammit lol)
my guess ;)
has anyone done this... and how do we go about it
i know that the mk4 trannie is electronically controlled even kickdown & line pressure
so.. .what would i need to do to get this to work? if possible lol
