well.. i've just been working on a 1jz and the top end is quite rattly
well actually it's a 1.5
heres the specs
1.5j
.050" je forged pistons
custom rings.. i would assume je
shotpeened rods
nascar bearings
rebuilt head, valves reseated, new seals etc
soooooooo... can forged...
just curious to compare our oil pressure to anyone elses
oil pressure at idle when warm is 20psi
when stone cold it goes up to 40 or 50 then comes down as it warms.. i don't think it's extremely high for long
at idle when just revving slowly to bout 3000rpm or 4000rpm oil pressure goes to...
yep... i have almost the same mods just additional 2 1/2" hardpipes & big ass intercooler and i'm hitting cut at 9psi...
i would just give your ic pipes a checkover and make sure there aren't any leaks
with my setup i got 278whp.. but that's on our dyno's.. apparently ours read differently...
well i was only running 9 psi with afr's at 11.7:1 stock fuel system
i guess for high compression lovers you would love the way my car responds, no lag just smooth full on power all the way to 6500rpm, rev limiter gets in the way at 6750 lol
pulled 278whp @ 9psi 9.4:1cr
and a 13.3 1/4 on a...
actually.....
lol
i'm using 020" gte pistons... my compression was upped by lots of skims on head & block and using a thin head gasket
previous cc on engine with a 4mm hg was 7.98:1
i got a 1.8mm gasket which worked out to be 9.4:1 according to some calculations someone made :)
hehe yea i had no idea what it'd look like but yep.. i'm sold on it too :D
well.. we got the supras sooo cheap... and lots of parts ;)
now we have just two parts cars, ga70 manual (drivetrain now out lol) and ma70 7mgte now only has wheels and some interior lol
we luv our supras ;)
there are stock block off plates on our engines... still need them bolted there or ya have a nice exhaust leak and massive intake leak :-p
but yea.. two little plates, head & intake manifold :)
nope.. if it's a jdm engine the intake should already be blocked and the head, the intake side of the back of the head actually vents straight thru to the intake mounting
if you stick ur finger in there you'll be able to see your finger from the intake side #6 :)
15's did come stock on the ma70/ga70 but i dunno bout your brakes fitting them... pre 89 here came with 280mm brakes/rotors where yours all years are 300mm
excuse the sacked supra but those are the stock 15" wheels :)
mainly for when i get the high stall torque converter, when i launch all the fuel will slosh to the back of the tank and i will get fuel surge, so you have a tank that is constantly full and no fuel surge :)
hey ya'll... i just managed to get a hold of russell surge tank... i believe your name for them is fuel cell... why call them that! they stop surging so i reckon our terminology makes more sense :-p
but anyway lol
i scored it for $80usd and holds .2gallon of fuel.... i would think this...
i would say... $30 max.. for the seal in the diff, if ya don't wanna repair ur rack get another one, i can't figure out how your speedo cable is leaking :dunno: i guess where it bolts onto the trannie?
to me.. it doesn't sound hard to do lol... i would stress bout it... is the trannie auto or...
