form in place gasket, not an actual cork gasket. cork gaskets CAN work if you do it right, but they are very prone to leaks. further, toyota did NOT design the oil pan to seal with a cork gasket, they designed it to seal with their form in place gasket.

stock, there is no gasket. the cork gasket provided in gasket kits is VERY prone to leaks. instead of taking the chancewith the cork gasket, do it the way toyota did and use the FIPG. see the tsrm for the correct torque specs and correct application of fipg.

if your o2 sensor is in good shape (and hooked up properly!) you should pass with no problem. you converted it to US spec? what does that mean? you installed the EGR? FWIW when my car was stock i passed with my JDM 7m with no egr well below the limits.

well, for anyone wanting to upgrade to -6an stainless steel fuel lines, summit DOES carry AN banjo bolt fittings, if they have an appropriate size i dont know, but its worth checking out for those interested.

do a tune up including new o2 sensor. if that dosnt help it, do a compression test.

this isnt an NA car. turbos dont need "back pressure". the closer you can get to no exhaust on a turbo car, the better.
