Cmon guys. Enough with the "rusty engine" crap. This 7M is more than worth what I paid. It has been sitting outside of his car for years. Steve only ran it for a little bit.
This is probably one of, if not the most capable engine on these forums. With the proper turbo that is.
I was gonna say something, but I didn't want this thread to take that kind of a turn. So let's just end the discussion on remark right here and just stick to the subject of the post.
BTW, I'm a Jew and cheap as hell :naughty: . However, I still do not condone that remark.
Also, if someone can find me links with the prices to the LCD, an OEM Wire Harness, and that sensor so I can email it to Unishippers it would be much appreciated.
As for the shipping reciept. Yes, it seems I signed my life away, but I really didn't have a choice in the matter seeing how I'm in the middle of a move and this engine was being stored at a friends garage. Which was not the easiest thing for me to setup.
Here the shipping reciept I signed...
Ok people. This engine was Steve's big build. Everything that he could do to it was done. Forged pistons, rods, reworked oil system, ported head, reworked cams, larger valves. Everything. Plus, the engine has only seen as few thousand miles. Just miles to be broken in. I've seen a company that...
Well as most of you know, I purchased Stevevangs $10000 engine. I sent him my wire harness for him to wire into the engine. He propped the engine up on a skid and secured it with straps. Then he placed several loose items I bought from him on the top of the engine, including a Zeitronix wb setup...
Winner....more like $130 loser.
BTW- The rough rule of thumb with injector sizes is 1hp at the crank per cc of flow. So your OEM 440cc's are actually good for more than 400hp at the crank. Problem is, old injectors with high mileage have the risk of uneven flow per cylinder and damaged...
Yes you can use the OEM AFM's honey comb and electronics. That's what LIPP expects you to use, hence why it isn't shipped with either.
FYI- The LIPP AFM is actually slightly smaller than the Lexus AFM. However, not to the point where there is noticable power loss.
Doesn't seem like too big of a deal. Considering the LIPP AFM doesn't come with the honey comb or electronics. Your supposed to just swap them out with the ones in your OEM AFM.
How much did you pay for it?
If it makes you feel any better, I have an unused one I bought years ago from SS back...
Wow sethron71, that oem to ffim looks pretty good. How did you weld the aluminum without warping it?
Also, you wouldn't happen to have any unneeded long runner ffim's your willing to sell, do you?
