Yeah, that rear bumper is definitely something more my taste. But how exactly do those mufflers work? Since the backs are blocked, where are the outlets?
I did a little more research on it. Talked to the company as well as HorsePower Freaks. HPF has them for $265. They say they sell alot of them, but have no hands-on experience.
The unit is alot smaller than I thought. From the pics it looked to be almost DIN sized, which I liked. Turns out...
I've been in the market for a new Electronic Boost Controller and Turbo Timer for some time. I was just going to hold off on a turbo timer for now and go with a Blitz SBC Type R due to it's ease of use and dual selenoid. However, I just came across this...
Wow! Nice job squeezing those in there. I'm sure it sounds loads better than the factory system. What Bose speakers are those drivers out of anyway?
One question for you, why Bose? Expecially with their 8 ohm impedence. I mean, I've heard of home audio speakers used in car audio applications...
Yeah, I guess your right. It's just that this turbo rebuild is just another thing on a long expensive list. I'd like to save a couple bucks where I can, just to make sure I have enough to finish everything up.
The turbo is actually one of the lowest priorities right now. However, I'd hate it...
Ouch! $400 plus shipping to them. That's pretty steep for what my turbo needs. The fins are fine and there is no pits on the intake inlet. The wheel just moves ever so slightly.
I should have been more specific with my question. Does anybody offer basic turbo rebuild services (replace...
Can anybody recommend where to send my turbo for rebuild? It's an older SupraSport Stage 3 with minimal shaftplay.
Does anyone on the forums offer this service?
I've had several JDM Engines in the past. They're a cheap alternative for a rebuild when your current engine is shot. I got my last one from JDM Imports for $950 shipped. It was in pretty decent shape. There was a fair amount of wear and pitting on several cylinder walls, and 8 of the valves...
There's some pitting on the cylinder walls so I have to bore .020 over. I plan on running up to 450hp on occasion at 25psi on a SupraSport stage 3 Turbo. Most of the time I'll be running 12psi tho.
They sell on ebay for dirt cheap and are available in various sizes. I'm sure these are nowhere as durable as forged sets, but how do they compare to OEM's?
hmmm. Well if it does fit, I take it that this is for a ct-26 style turbo with internal waste gate? Is this that much of an upgrade to the OEM manifold?

Is this for a 3sgte?
Good stuff.
BTW, I just filed a lawsuit against my former mechanic for $3700 (which is me being extrememly generous) for damages. Of the 2 engines of mine this guy had, I got the head and block of one back with internals. But that's it. No turbo's, no wire harnessses, and I believe he never...
Apparently my dumbass ex-mechanic managed to break one of the ears off the block where the belhousing bolts-up. The question is can I reweld the ear back on and use this block in a 450rwhp application without the bellhousing breaking loose and my clutch flying through the floor?
I've heard...
had both my stock 440's redone and flow tested, as well as a set of Nippon Denso 550's. For some reason each injector was tested at a different PSI and the results just seem too similar to me for them being 440's and 550's. Did they make my 440's into 550's? Vise versa? Or do these results...
I have a 90 Turbo Auto (with manual swap), and ABS, that's in need of a dash harness. I've posted in the WTB section and have had many responses. My question is, will any MKIII dash harness from any year or Model work? Does it need to from an Automatic? Does it need to be from a turbo?
