Both these turbos are pretty similar, I believe the HX35 is larger than your typical GT35R, so potentially more lag. But, your selection of exhaust housings will make a big difference. Holset turbos are awesome! great quality and reasonable prices, especially considering the vast used...

Yeah, the 1JZ engine harness is a couple feet too short, because they were designed for RHD cars. You will have to extend the harness or relocate the ECU, Both difficult tasks.

Would their be a 'acidic reaction' or something with a Aluminum Rad. that you should look out for? Avoid cheap coolant?

Doesn't sound likely. Your best bet is to remove the ECU and check to see if anything is burnt up in there.

In that other link provided, it says that the turbo this car is running is a Holset HX50, If you're too lazy to look at the link, basically this turbo is designed for a 10-15 litres engine, and it estimated at 470 bhp. I know these specifications are for diesel engines, but 10-15 litres...c'mon...

Drone is a myth... I have a full 3" turbo back, no cat with a Blitz Nur spec and It its honestly not that loud until under boost or heavy throttle, even then its not all that loud.

In the engine bay, on the fire wall is a tag with all your vehicles info. It will say R-154, W58 or whatever the auto trans is.
